With the aim of maximising the flavour of these ingredients while contributing to general well-being and sustaining the environment, B.coz is a unique concept indeed. Four separate menus are offered here (vegetarian, gluten-free, lactose-free and a regular menu), with all using only the highest quality organic produce.
Chef and owner Rodney Barbey has termed his food Australasian-organic, combining organic produce with modern Australian and Asian techniques. Start with a vegetarian entree such as the organic warm roasted vegetable stack with rocket, toasted sunflower seeds, date salad and roasted pink peppercorn yoghurt, or a gluten-free option such as the spiced tiger prawn and vegetable soup. For a main, sample a lactose-free option such as the crisped Milawa free-range chicken breast with organic coconut jasmine rice and a lime chai coconut sauce, or the gluten-free grilled organic lamb fillet, roasted organic sweet potato and pumpkin mash, and sweet chilli jelly. Finish with the organic chocolate orange souffle with chocolate orange ice-cream. An award winning wine list inclusive of many organic varieties is offered.
