PROFILED BY DE GROOTS MEDIAJust as the name states, (A)Lure is one of those restaurants you find yourself helplessly attracted to. To begin with, it’s undeniably beautiful. The pale blue and white decor with crystal clear glass walls seem to reflect views of the sparkling resort pool below. One has to wonder who has the better location – those enjoying a dip in the pool or those dining in this stunning restaurant? Just as the setting for this restaurant impresses, so does the food and its freshness. Pulling up a pew at the unique sushi station is an ideal way to begin your dining experience at (A)Lure. Or you can simply down a few oysters and sample a little sashimi before heading to a show. However, if you’re not staying for a meal at (A)Lure you may be missing out on some of the Burswood Entertainment Complex’s best food.
The menu is one of those that causes my mouth to instantly salivate. It’s not a particularly large list but the choices available hit the jackpot when it comes to fresh, local produce and innovative fare. Being a sucker for the sweet flesh of freshwater crayfish, the salad of Pemberton marron, soft quail egg, lobster emulsion and cos spears is a must-have. Or if you’ve always wanted to try West Australian truffles, the tart of wild mushroom, hazelnut paste, rocket and Manjimup black truffle provides an ideal opportunity. The main course menu is equally impressive with dishes like the five-spiced duck breast, the herb crusted Amelia Park “best end” lamb and of course the Wagyu beef all demonstrating culinary skills only a brilliant chef would hold. With talents like this, it’s no wonder even the Queen couldn’t resist being allured by this chef’s food!
